Cool bells on that last track, all ten of them
deirdre dionysiac (host) 8:11:53 PM
Hey Lizbot, and hey y'all. A night of funk punk, from eroc to e-rock, awaits us. Ten bells or 10/10 bells? Difficult to say
DSM. 8:14:55 PM
Eroc rocks. Was listening to Eroc 4 not long ago and was deeply taken.
DSM. 8:15:22 PM
Hey deirdre. Lizbot, didn't get to say thanks, so thanks and have a great trip!
deirdre dionysiac (host) 8:15:23 PM
Best mustache in the game
Liz Bot (1) 8:15:58 PM
Thanks, DSM! Yeah, gonna accumulate more krautrock on this trip, I suspect
deirdre dionysiac (host) 8:15:59 PM
I've listened to this debut a first few times this week. Really wide ranging enjoyment
Liz Bot (1) 8:16:37 PM
@ deirdre dionysiac - I rate it 10/10 bells. Would clang again.
TAndy 8:25:18 PM

Hi TAndy!
Liz Bot (1) 8:31:11 PM
Did I just hear a vibraslap?
Liz Bot (1) 8:32:37 PM
Oh wait, not vibraslap…that Brazilian vibrate-y sounding thing whose name I always forget…not a guica…
TAndy 8:34:29 PM
Hi Lizbot!! 😊
deirdre dionysiac (host) 8:34:58 PM
Must have been something in the wind. Guiro?
DSM. 8:38:25 PM
my fingers can feel this
deirdre dionysiac (host) 8:38:59 PM
There it is again
Liz Bot (1) 8:39:35 PM
Yeah, that thing that was at the very end!
Roffle 8:39:42 PM
Nice vibe Deirdre!
DSM. 8:40:40 PM
pumpkin funk?
Liz Bot (1) 8:42:11 PM
Thanks for the 🇩🇪 send-off, Deirdre!
Liz Bot (1) 8:43:12 PM
Speaking of buckets of sand, we were just talking in the chat during ++good about my sweet but dopey dog running around on the beach this past weekend just hooving up mouthfuls of sand in her maw
Roffle 8:45:47 PM
Grit for days...
Liz Bot (1) 8:46:17 PM
Hi Roffle! Yeah, she likes takes Gritty fandom to a whole new level
Liz Bot (1) 8:46:51 PM
@roffle - my chickens needed to eat grit from ground-up eggshells to produce good eggs. I don’t know what her excuse is.
deirdre dionysiac (host) 8:49:14 PM
My cat hasn't been to a beach but occasionally has a neurodivergency while licking himself that leads to him cleaning the floor with his tongue for several minutes at a time
Roffle 8:49:18 PM
That is mineral knowledge beyond my simple human capacity. Lol
Roffle 8:51:09 PM
See you all later. Heading back.G'nite.
deirdre dionysiac (host) 8:52:36 PM
just like that, Roffle's gone 😶‍🌫️. G'nite!
Liz Bot (1) 9:07:18 PM
@deirdre dionysiac - my old cat, po, used to lick aimlessly the air or whatever happened to be in front of her tongue if you scratched her in a certain spot on the back of her neck and this would go on for as long as we scratched that one spot
Guelo <3 9:15:29 PM
This is a BOP
deirdre dionysiac (host) 9:20:15 PM
Feel like i'm in your prof pic with some of these
deirdre dionysiac (host) 9:20:47 PM
@Liz Bot, my cat is also that way if you show him a feather. Probably not uncommon
Ossy 9:51:59 PM
Cool chill sounds as always Dei
Ossy 9:52:28 PM
And hi again Space Lady Tara Sands Lizbot
deirdre dionysiac (host) 9:57:50 PM
Hey Ossy. Nice haircut
Ossy 9:59:48 PM
Charlie Brown style, as mean scary Lucy calls him "U Blockhead"
deirdre dionysiac (host) 10:06:51 PM
more or less how I feel after a radio day. ears bloody nubs, head pounding mildly, blank expression. blockhead
Liz Bot (1) 10:14:59 PM
Hi Ossy! Was away from the chat to make myself some dinner and replenish my birds’ food bowls
Liz Bot (1) 10:18:00 PM
@Ossy - I have been admiring that blockhead Charlie. Not to be confused with Beefsteak Charlie
Liz Bot (1) 10:21:38 PM
This has that real spooky vibe, like something’s about to happen
deirdre dionysiac (host) 10:22:46 PM
We all know what was to happen
Liz Bot (1) 10:23:52 PM
FLEXATONE!!! It took me an hour, but I remembered what that metallic vibrating Jimmy-jam is!
deirdre dionysiac (host) 10:29:47 PM
That's a chat flex
deirdre dionysiac (host) 10:30:23 PM
Did the title "tremolo" trigger the memory?
Liz Bot (1) 10:33:02 PM
@deirdre - maybe, but I didn’t even see that title. Memory is mysterious. I have a thing about flexatones. Every time I hear one I cannot think of the name for ages and it’s really hard to look up that sound
Ossy 10:33:24 PM
Liz - Hahaha and bet your dinner is lovely and Beefsteak Charlie
Liz Bot (1) 10:37:27 PM
@Ossy - Thankfully it wasn’t from Beefsteak Charlie’s. It was chicken and caramelized onions
Liz Bot (1) 10:38:08 PM
This is the anthem of the dystopian robot future my brethren yearn for
Ossy 10:39:11 PM
Dei - I can so relate being a blank blockhead lol
Ossy 10:40:00 PM
Liz - chicken and caramelized onion = smelly greatness!!
Liz Bot (1) 10:40:14 PM
Now I know what I’ll be listening to while cruising the autobahn on my tank tread legs
DSM. 10:44:10 PM
Really dig these last two
DSM. 10:44:23 PM
sorry, last 3
deirdre dionysiac (host) 10:46:04 PM
Sometimes i'll sit on a miniset for, like, a couple of years and never find the right moment. Took the seasickness of that Beach Boys song to bring it about
DSM. 10:49:54 PM
Do you know if that's Van Dyke Parks at the end of that Beach Boys track? Coming in with vocals? I know I've checked the liner notes in the past but I don't think he's mentioned, but that has to be his voice...
deirdre dionysiac (host) 10:54:31 PM
Correct. Here's him speaking about the experience: "I went up there to congratulate them on acting like grown-ups. On continuing to push. Then they had me doing a vocal. I liked that song about the tree just fine. I was just called in to do some singing on one line. It worked out well. Of course I had to stumble out of the studio in pitch darkness. Brian turned out all the lights. Had to crawl out of there on the floor, clutching my wife. (cont.)
deirdre dionysiac (host) 10:55:08 PM
Most humiliating thing I've ever ... Oh it's a power trip all right. But I can get behind that. I can get behind the way Brian does it. It's funny to watch him when he can't find something he owns. It's cute when he ignores someone else's needs, because he can always plead insanity."
DSM. 10:57:50 PM
Thank you for solving that for me! And it's always great to here Van Dyke's stories. He's got a good one about Dennis Wilson beating up Charlie Manson. Never know how stretched the truth is with him tho...
Liz Bot (1) 10:59:39 PM
Thanks for the great show tonight, Deirdre! ‘Night all!
DSM. 11:00:31 PM
whoa 11! Thanks DD
deirdre dionysiac (host) 11:01:13 PM
Lol, lost track of the time and underestimated the length of radio delay. What i was going to say was, not here next week but will be back the following! Thanks for spending some time
