I know right? The way that there's so much vehicular traffic and asphalt in front of me, but rolling hills and nature in the far distance... Anachronistic isn't the word but it fits how this looks imo

i always feel kinda weird when i interpret spaces like that as beautiful, bc i feel like i shouldnt be so comfortable just ignoring the industrial parts

like my fav spot to hang out in hs was a resevoir thats next to a highway

It's all about finding comfort and beauty amongst the hellscape

Right in front of me is the real American Dream. Traffic, wasteland, and excess. But in the distance is the escape. The freedom so many of us wish for.

The planes going overhead straight out of JFK just add to that feeling of distant freedom.
