I wasn’t sure what they were actually about but I loved them and they seemed to fit with a weird West African-Bluegrass riff I had. This song, written by Motown giants Lamont Dozier and brothers Brian and Eddie Holland, was originally a hit for Marvin Gaye in 1964, with the title ‘Baby Don't You Do It.’ The Band recorded the song numerous times under the title "Don't Do It".

Burnside Too Bad Jim Fat Possum 1994 Blues Born in rural Miss. in 1926, Burnside spent many years playing guitar in juke joints and bars, but received little recognition before the early 1990s. He even had his own juke joint for a while, Burnside Palace. This was recorded at Junior's Place, a juke operated by Junior Kimbrough, in Chulahoma in the hill country of northern Mississippi. Burnside died in 2005.

Dylan had been off the road for eight very long years at this point, and demand to see his return was so intense that promoters received 5.5 million ticket requests via a cumbersome mail-order system. To put that in perspective, that was four percent of the entire population of America.

This is dosed with so many layers of vocal that they seem to have added a tom tom in the break to make up for near loss of the rhythm track. Someone in the wordless backing vocal (Maurice?) is performing the first significant falsetto on a Bee Gees song.

It is believed to be associated with the Underground Railroad, and was used to warn slaves to get off the trail and into the water to prevent dogs—used by the slavers—from finding them.

| Blind Boy Fuller Black And Tan (1936) Fulton Allen Mama Let Me Lay It On You (1926-1936) Yazoo 2013 Blues Recorded in NYC in 1936. Fulton Allen was a prolific North Carolina blues guitarist and vocalist who recorded under the name Blind Boy Fuller. A prime example of the Piedmont style, Fuller was one of the most popular blues performers of his time, particularly well known for his distinctive use of the resonator guitar. His career was cut short by his death from kidney failure in 1941.

The project consists of a nine-part contemporary choral symphony in 13 languages. Elias described the work as "a set of nine adagio prayers" that were influenced by his "personal views" about the future of humankind and the power of prayer across cultures. The contributing musical artists "used poems [he] wrote as inspiration, interpreting the words in their own way, in many different languages and chants."
